OUR STORY

Connection Church is a new Church plant. Through divine providence, the Lord placed into the hearts of a few individuals the desire to have a ministry that honored Him and ministered to the needs of the local community. During the summer of 2015 what God had placed in our hearts came through the spoken word "Connection Church" as well as the mission (John 3:16; John 14:6; Matthew 28:18-20). A prophecy came through an elderly Saint, a total stranger, on August 30, 2016 while at a local hospital. She said many things by the Spirit of God. Some of these things came to pass in 2017 and 2018. There are still some things that God said through her which have yet to happen, but we believe that they will. God is amazing!

Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ...

IT GET'S EVEN BETTER...

On 3/16/2018, Connection Church became official. I'll never forget that day of confirmation (part of the prophecy of the elderly Saint coming to pass). As I was filling out the paperwork at the Mobile County Probate Court, as I began to fill in my name "John" and the the date "March 16th", the Holy Spirit quickened my spirit to see John 3:16 (March is the 3rd Month and it was the 16th day). As I was inwardly and quietly praising my Lord for this encouragement, it was at that very moment that the Spirit of the Lord moved on the lady behind the counter. She began to quote John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Right then and there she began to testify that she was a Christian, and that she too was apart of a Church plant. She encouraged me, helped me to finalize the paperwork and sent me on my way. God is good!

CURRENTLY...

A small group of us met in our home, and then at the Oprah Building in Saraland. I had a good friend who saw the number 27 everywhere he went. One day he asked me what it meant in the Bible. I told him it meant the preaching of the Gospel. After some time we began praying for the Lord to make available for us a new location we could call our own. As we drove around town a retail store front opened up. We met with the owner whose name is Mark (like the Gospel of Mark), and he was a Christian as well. On 1/20/20, we committed as a Church to this location for us to gather, worship the Lord and do ministry together. It's located (yep you guessed it) at 27 Shelton Beach Rd in Saraland AL. Yet another moment of confirmation that we are in God's Will. We gather every Sunday at 10:30 am. Some come a little earlier and catch up with each other over a hot cup of coffee before service.  Come join us!
